Canon ran this paper advertisement, taken from a 1985 magazine, and is one of a series of ads on endangered animals that offered wildlife information. The ad features their FD 150-600mm f/5.6L Lens. It includes a color photo of the Black Caiman GatorNiger – of the Niger species – and lists its size, weight, and number in existence at the time of the advertisement. Backwaters, lagoons and flooded forests or grasslands in the Amazon basin of South America are stated as the animal’s habitat range. Gunter Ziesler is the photographer.
