Canon ran this paper advertisement, taken from a 1988 magazine, and is one of a series of ads on endangered animals that offered wildlife information. The ad features their EOS 620 650 SLR Cameras. It includes a color photo of the Madagascan Plowshare TortoiseYniphora – of the Yniphora species – and lists its size, weight, and number in existence at the time of the advertisement. Bamboo thickets and deciduous scrub forests on edge of palm savanna in northwestern Madagascar are stated as the animal’s habitat range. David A. Curl is the photographer.
