Schenley Distillers Corporation ran this paper advertisement, taken from a 1944 magazine, which features Schenley Reserve Blended Whiskey. The ad has a caption that claims that since their distilleries are producing only alcohol for munitions, synthetic rubber and other important uses, the basic whiskies in Schenley Reserve are from pre-war stocks and that they have not produced whiskey since October 1942.
