Jack Daniel’s Distillery ran this paper advertisement that came from a 1997 magazine and features Old No. 7 Brand Tennessee Whiskey. This ad tells and shows the difference between Jack Daniel’s and Kentucky Bourbon. Photo shows ricks of hard maple being burnt until charcoal. Then we trickle our whiskey drop by drop, through that charcoal to mellow it’s flavor. Ad reads: Some folks call Jack Daniel’s “bourbon”, but the U.S. Government says our charcoal method makes it a Tennessee Whiskey.
