Hudson’s Bay Company ran this paper advertisement that came from a 1951 magazine and features Hudson’s Bay Canadian Whisky. Titled: Hudson’s Bay Brand Best Procurable Blended Scotch Whiskey. This magazine ad explains that in 1701 A.D., the Governor and Company of Adventurers of England Trading into Hudson’s Bay arranged the first shipment, aboard the HBC frigate Perry, of liquor so outstanding in quality that it inevitably became known in the new world as the best procurable Scotch whisky. Ad comes uncut from its original page and is dated on the page October 8, 1951.
