Corning Glass Works of Corning, New York ran this paper advertisement that came from a 1945 magazine and features their bomber control panel. “Why is a bomber like a Dime Store?” The inside of the bomber looked like a dime store said one of the mechanics when he saw the inside panel of the bomber panel board – full of glass ‘jewels’ by Corning. Ad is dated on the back February 5, 1945.
