Container Corporation of America ran this paper advertisement that came from a 1948 magazine and featured many series of modernistic ads for different magazines which are truly a landmark in the history of advertising. Most ads were designed by some of the most innovative graphic designers of the era. The artist of this collector’s ad is Bob Cato, a native of Louisiana. The ad on the back is a colorful Pennsylvania Salt Manufacturing Company, Penn Salt Chemicals of Philadelphia.
