B.F. Goodrich Company ran this paper advertisement that came from a 1949 magazine. In the 1940’s B.F. Goodrich ran many ads telling of product development and history making ideas. In this Mills of Los Angeles plant is shown using a Griptop conveyor belt to haul 50lb sacks up stairs. The Griptop belt has a surface of tiny rubber knobs or fingers, soft so they bend just enough to grip or seize anything carried by belt in any plant. The ad is dated on the page October 24, 1949. The B.F. Goodrich of Akron, Ohio is mentioned in the ad.
